Fifty staff, volunteers, families and friends, headed to the Oakland Coliseum for the A’s baseball game against the Angels on Friday, June 26th. Much to everyone’s relief, the Warriors clinched the NBA title on Tuesday, or loyalties would have been torn, as both would have been playing that Friday night. The evening got off to a good start with a wonderful tailgate party, and things were looking pretty good for the A’s as well… right up until the 7th inning.  While our favorite home team became a bit befuddled at that point in time, and ultimately ended up losing their lead and ultimately the game, spirits of our attendees could not be dampened, and the wonderful fireworks show at the end certainly came close to making up for it. The highlight of the evening was the center’s name in lights on the marquis board!
