Xenophon Staff Increase Their Knowledge In Virginia

This past week, 10 of our therapeutic riding instructors headed to Williamsburg, Virginia for the PATH International conference. PATH, The Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship, is the governing body for equine-assisted activities and therapies in the United States. They provide safety standards for our industry in addition to providing the certification of instructors and accreditations of centers. The conference takes place over 4 days and includes two intense days of classroom workshops as well as a day of practical workshops at a local therapeutic riding center. Courses include topics on teaching strategies for a multitude of disabilities, program enhancement ideas, successful veteran program techniques, as well as administrative advice and teaching. Perhaps more importantly, the conference is an opportunity to network with other professionals in our industry and keep our pulse on the direction that equine-assisted activities are taking throughout the United States. It provides us with a benchmark to be sure that Xenophon is continuing to provide the highest quality of services possible.
