For the fourth year running, St. Mary’s High School in Berkeley sent a group of students to participate at Xenophon for their “Enrichment Week”. The week is designed to give the students community experience outside of the classroom. The students go out locally and internationally to participate in non-profits. Xenophon has been fortunate to host this wonderful group of high
school students. A group of 8 teens came to the center for the day. They learned about grooming, leading and what it takes to keep our therapy horses healthy and sound. Their day here incorporates other jobs and activities relative to the running of a therapeutic riding center, and culminates in the participation in the afternoon lesson program. We are happy to say the group leaves with their heads swimming with knowledge about what it takes to run a therapeutic riding center.
